SITE RULES
I. TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD BE TREATED
It's a pretty simple principle, but the long and short of it is: don't cause unnecessary trouble, flame, troll, or spite others. Don't cause drama in the cbox, and don't harass staff if we've said we'll get to something or we're busy. It's real straightforward.
II. DISPLAY NAME SHOULD BE REAL NAME
Register with whatever username you like, but when you edit to a display name, it should be the alter ego rather than the super hero alias. For instance, you should read as Peter Parker instead of Spider-Man. Staff will set your alias as your custom title afterwards.
III. GENERAL RP RULES
We're going to assume here that most people have been RPing long enough to know roughly what this entails: try to avoid the obvious Mary-Sue and Gary-Stu character archetypes, don't godmod, powerplay, or bunny other characters, and just generally act within reasonable boundaries whilst RPing. Simple as that.
Mutant Empire is 3-3-2, which means we're essentially R-Rated with the exception of graphic sex scenes; they should be taken elsewhere.
IV. A WORD ON FACE-CLAIMS
Okay -- if you're registering a CANON MARVEL CHARACTER, their faceclaim should be them in the comics. There are usually enough variants of most Marvel characters -- Noir, 2099, Zombies, Superior, Ultimate, etc -- to allow you to pick and choose, but we don't want you registering Spider-Man as FCed by your desu kawaii Ichigo from Bleach. When it comes to ORIGINAL CHARACTERS, however, face-claim whatever you'd like, except live-action people. Anything drawn or CGI will do.
V. DON'T BE A DICK IN THE CBOX
Chatboxes all around the world seem to promote general dickery, anywhere from petty bickering to people just being massively unreasonable, or refusing to talk about anyone else in the cbox. Also: the chatbox is OOC, so don't flood it with your personal OTP roleplay.
VI. TWO MAJOR CANONS MAX PER USER
Any of the canons in this canon list here count as "major canons" towards this rule, along with any staff-appointed canons you may have been informed about in private.
