THE MANHATTAN REACTOR
The Manhattan Reactor was difficult to find pre-war. Situated in a large, concrete enclosed facility beneath the lake in Central Park, maintenance teams consistently complained about the difficulty of utilising its many badly-placed access tunnels, even with maps. With these lost in the post-apocalyptic desolation, few know of the reactor, and fewer still know how to find it.
This is the base of operations of the Avengers.
