Comprised of over 250 acres of land, the Bronx Zoo was once one of the largest of its kind in the entire world, with species from all around the globe. Its stretches are now desolate and abandoned of all human activity, but some say that the zoo still holds a selection of feral, "changed" animals, touched by the radiation of the Empire Wasteland.

YANKEES STADIUM
The Yankees Stadium was once the iconic ground of the New York Yankees baseball team, a sport and practice of worship long since forgotten by the wasteland. Due to its size and defensible nature, the Stadium has now supposedly turned into a hub of sorts for raiders and fiends alike, though one of the more sociable in Empire City.

PELHAM BAY OUTPOST
The Pelham Bay Outpost is the northernmost official SHIELD outpost in Empire City, situated in Pelham Bay Park at the very north of the Bronx. This acts as the city's northern border, heavily regulated due to the amount of Commonwealth passage in and mercantile activity out of this area.

The northernmost of the five old city boroughs, everyone knows the Bronx is quiet, and has been for years. Whilst its northern fringes are constantly subjected to the invasive prying of the Commonwealth, it is used as the hub of one of the most popular trading routes in the entire state, second only to the notorious Gold River. Some say, though, that if you walk the cold, dead streets of the Bronx late at night, it holds more than just raiders and caravan guards, with an eerie presence supposedly waiting to prey on the weak, despondent, and alone...

The year is 2284, and America is stirring. In the wake of the crises of the past twenty years, the Empire Wasteland is restless. Smoke rises on the horizon in Dead Valley from a crash site; an old Vault on Staten Island opens and shuts again in the dead of night; and travellers rowing around Ellis Island say that its walls are haunted, that the lights flicker when they pass. Whilst the SHIELD and the vigilantes that call themselves The Defenders still fight to keep Manhattan from being torn apart, it seems futile, for the city seems to be falling apart around them.
Tales of legendary human mutants and individuals of power are not uncommon in the Empire Wasteland, but something ominous lurches underground. The city is trembling once again. Will you discover its origins? Will you defend the innocent? Will you fight only to survive? Or will you see the city and the Dead Valley usher in a Mutant Empire?
