JFK AIRPORT
Colloquially known as JFK, the John F. Kennedy Airport was one of the largest of its kind in the world, and a marvel of aeronautic engineering, with almost 8 runways and 12 helipads by the beginning of the Great War in 2077. Now it serves as an airplane graveyard, host only to rust, raiders, and the forgotten glory of an eon past.

The easternmost stretch of Queens that once lead onto Long Island is now a desolate stretch of tall SHIELD-controlled fencing, manned by troops night and day due to the feral ghoul infestation on the other side.

NY HALL OF SCIENCE
Once a hands-on bastion of American scientific and technological achievement through the ages, the abandoned New York Hall of Science has long since had its upper floors raided by opportunists and looters in the dystopian years past. The radiation and destruction, however, has luckily not touched its clinical concrete-walled subterranean security and control floors, which are rumoured now to be home to a mercenary contingent of strange, "powered" individuals.
This is the base of operations of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

QUEENS
The largest of the five old pre-war boroughs, Queens comprises the easternmost areas of Empire City. After Long Island became the victim of dispersed nuclear strikes against New York City, and largely an irradiated wasteland, legions of feral ghouls began to flood into the borough from the east. Along with further radiation starting to seep through, that area of Queens is now known as "The Zombie Strip", fenced off and heavily guarded by SHIELD contingents.

The year is 2284, and America is stirring. In the wake of the crises of the past twenty years, the Empire Wasteland is restless. Smoke rises on the horizon in Dead Valley from a crash site; an old Vault on Staten Island opens and shuts again in the dead of night; and travellers rowing around Ellis Island say that its walls are haunted, that the lights flicker when they pass. Whilst the SHIELD and the vigilantes that call themselves The Defenders still fight to keep Manhattan from being torn apart, it seems futile, for the city seems to be falling apart around them.
Tales of legendary human mutants and individuals of power are not uncommon in the Empire Wasteland, but something ominous lurches underground. The city is trembling once again. Will you discover its origins? Will you defend the innocent? Will you fight only to survive? Or will you see the city and the Dead Valley usher in a Mutant Empire?
