▀Atmokinesis Storm is one of the few non-psychic Omega Level Mutants in existence. Her powers are a psionic and mana-infused ability that links her mind and body to earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems and atmospheres. With concentration, her abilities are precise enough to separate water molecules and allow her to breathe underwater, control air in the lungs, and condesce atmospheric pollutants into a toxic smog. The magnitude of her powers continue to grow every moment she lives and are physically more straining feats such as controlling ocean currents, the electromagnetic energy of an area, and creating storms on a massive scale. Storm's most comfortable and balanced level of control is manipulating battle-scaled versions of thunderstorms, blizzards, tornadoes, hurricanes, acid rain, mists, and fogs. She can channel the same energy within herself to flash-freeze others, shock them with projected lightning bolts, or blow them back in a compact current. Her physical connection with the biosphere she inhibits allows her to have a heightened empathic connection and general sense of life forms (especially plants), things escaping and entering the atmosphere, and any movement through non-radioactive air and water mediums.
▀Shamanism Ororo's priestess inheritance and part of obtaining approval from the Panther God has made her essence forever connected to the spirit world. This allows her to seek advice and information from her sorceress ancestors, whose existences date back to the beginnings of Atlantis. This also allows her to switch between normal sight and "energy" sight; which is viewing the physical world around her as energy and life down to the level of the human nervous system. In addition to this, she is now a High Priestess of Bast; God of protection, love. Upon her marriage to T'Challa, the Panther God can manifest himself through her.
▀Resistance Due to her powers, Storm has a high resistance against extreme temperatures, atmospheric and environmental conditions, immunity to The Phoenix, and resistances to psychic powers. She is known to counter psychic attempts of control over her with the manipulation of the pressure inside of the ear, but her resistance is generally enough to resist any non-advanced psychics. During a time a parasitic, Phoenix-like entity called "The Shadow King" attempted to posses her, Bast protected her mind and devoured the entity.
▀Gardening Naturally, Storm's power gives her an advantage when dealing with plants, but even without them, she has a green thumb. She has created a biodome for growing vegetables and fruit for her teammates to eat, and often retreats to the garden when she needs time to herself.
▀Lockpicking Before Storm was Storm, she was Ororo; a young and orphaned girl who had to survive on her wits and abilities as a young thief. Her powers give her an aura that eliminates most of her stealth abilities, but she still professes at lockpicking and is a master escape artist.
▀Melee Weapons As Storm's powers grow stronger, her physical body becomes weaker. Her powers on a higher-level scale leave her vulnerable to firearms and surprise attacks, so she tries not to use them too frequently in combat situations. Her experience in early life has allowed her to become familiar with firearms, though she abandoned them as weapons early in life. T'Challa has taught her some counter-combat and self defense techniques in case of close combat situations and she is currently mastering the use of knives and the Bo-staff.

Ororo Munroe and her mother N'Dare are descendants of African Priestess. Her mother was a tribal princess of Kenya, though she wasn't born with the priestess symbols of white hair and blue eyes and thus would not inherit the throne. She married an american photojournalist named David Munroe, and they moved to Manhattan, New York where Ororo was born. She became the childhood friend of the T'Challa, Prince of Wakanda; a human boy who would travel to New York to attend a private school and return to his home country after the school year was over. Her powers first manifested as electricity manipulation that she used to protect T'Challa one day when people attempted to kidnap him and hold him ransom.
At age 6, Ororo lost her parents when the complex they lived in collapsed. The rubble pinned her mother's corpse and her to the ground, leaving her traumatized and severely claustrophobic. She managed to escape the catastrophe and spent the rest of her childhood as a homeless child and thief.
She first came in contact with Professor X when she tried to steal from him. The theft was prevented with his psychic powers, and he could sense a massive potential in her. Before he could do anything, however, their presence together attracted a dark entity named the Shadow King, who distracted Professor X and allowed her to escape.
When Ororo turned 10, the world seemed to go into ruins. She was aware that she was unable to do things alone anymore, so she sought out help. She began to live in the (surprisingly spacious) interconnected bomb-shelter-turned-sewers of Manhattan, along with the Morlocks for years until T'Challa found her and convinced her to move to New York City with him.
With her powers becoming stronger and stronger, Storm was becoming more of a target to everyone around her. She was forced to split up with T'Challa for his safety and joined the X-Men as Storm. Reserved, rude, and rebellious, she struggled to get along with the other X-Men until Jean Grey opened up to her. They became friends and helped each other balance their powers until the Phoenix's power began to change Jean. Scott Summers, Jean's long-time romantic interest, was rendered too emotionally unstable by the event and Storm took the role of X-Men of the Vault's leader.
When X-Men member Angel was reported kidnapped by Morlocks, Storm and the X-Men returned to the Manhattan sewers where Storm was forced to fight their current leader, Callisto, for leadership of the Morlocks, and the events that conspired made her doubt her leadership skills. She defeated Callisto and was given the title of the leader and was conflicted about who she would go with; her old family or new one. She ultimately returned to New York and allowed Callisto to keep her role as leader and returned to New York City, where Cyclops challenged her to the position of leadership for many years.
When the Morlocks were being massacred, Storm returned to their aid once again, this time giving up her position as leader of X-Men to Cyclops. Callisto, seeing her as a traitor battled her once again, but after Storm saved her life, Callisto respected her and officially recognized her as their leader. The remaining Morlocks were safely transported from Manhattan to Staten Island.
Waiting back in New York City was T'Challa, now officially known as the hero Black Panther. The two rekindled their relationship and eventually became engaged after Bast had informed her that they were destined to be together and embraced her into the Black Panther family history as a potential vessel. During this time, they met Reed Richards and Susan Storm, who were also looking for a time and way to wed in what's in wastelands that was left of New York. Ororo and T'Challa became honorary Fantastic Four members. Fighting for both the X-Men and Fantastic Four and T'Challa's growing need to return to his kingdom had worn the two down. and T'Challa eventually set out to find a way back to Wakanda, where Storm settled to being the Headmaster of Professor X's Sanctuary for young mutants. Both being independent-minded and strong willed people makes them confident that their love will not falter; T'Challa will occasionally visit and when things get especially dire, Ororo will seek out his essence in the strato or terrasphere.

I've been a thief, a goddess, and X-Man, and a queen. And yet, I somehow, I always end up in a sewer under New York City.
